Finished Building Drainage and Insulation

Our construction phase visuals of our basement waterproofing and drainage applications in the site consisting of 3 blocks in Samsun Atakum District. Insulation problems were solved after the application we made with our experience and knowledge.

Implementation Steps

• The filling soil on the surface of the curtain walls to be insulated was taken up to the lower level of the foundation. (This stage is important, the points where the water finds the most passage are the joints of the foundation concrete and the curtain wall. (cold joint)
• The soil residues remaining on the curtain wall surfaces to be insulated were scraped off and the curtain wall surface was cleaned.
• BASF repair mortar was applied to the cold joints.
• Pipe bottoms and damaged parts of the curtain wall were also repaired with BASF repair mortar.
• After applying Onduline bitumen based insulation material primer on the curtain surface and amphitheater parts, double layer insulation application was completed. (In this part, insulation was applied to the curtain wall surface, foundation amphitheater and foundation edges as far as it could go down)
• For water drainage, elbows were made on the foundation edges and drainage pipes were laid.
• Gravel application was made on the drainage pipe.
• Wells were drilled and corrugated pipes were placed in suitable places for drainage. Rainwater from the drainage will be collected and discharged in these wells.

** It is forbidden to give groundwater and rainwater from the drainage to the sewer. Where the elevation saves, these waters are discharged to the road.
